Turkey

When it comes to cooking for the holidays and special occasions it is best to leave nothing to chance. That’s why for the turkey we are trusting Martha Stewarts Perfect Roast Turkey recipe to please our guests palettes.

This recipe includes brining your turkey for 24 hours, so be sure to allow plenty of time to prepare this bird. For those who may not know, the sole purpose of brining is to moisten your meat whereas marinating is used to flavor meat.

Green Bean Casserole

Even the pickiest kids we know that usually avoid the green beans on their plate like the plague delight in green bean casserole. It’s creamy, crunchy goodness will have you coming back for seconds, thirds, and possibly even fourths if you are so inclined.

We trust in the age old Betty Crocker classic recipe for this casserole is the way to go.  This simple 4-ingredient recipe is a cinch to make but is likely to be the first to disappear come meal time.

Mashed Potatoes

Putting together classic mashed potatoes could not be made easier with this recipe from Barefoot Contessa.   The most challenging part of this recipe will be peeling all the potatoes. You’d better call in for backup with this task! It sounds like the perfect task for little helping hands to keep busy while you are keeping busy preparing the rest of the menu.
