Your baby is turning one and you have all managed to make it through the first year! This calls for a celebration, and you know Photo Booth of the Stars loves a reason to throw a party. Since it is a first birthday it definitely needs to be special, but let’s face it the party will be more for you since your baby won’t remember the actual event itself but it’s going to generate some amazing photos and should be a day enjoyed by everyone.

The first thing you should consider is the venue. If your baby is more comfortable staying home and you have the room to host a party there by all means have it at your home. If not there are many great spots for a 1st birthday to be held. For instance a community center, children’s museum, or even the zoo are all great choices.
Once you have the venue locked in it is time to think about the theme. Hosting a themed party truly makes for some fun and amazing pictures that you will get to cherish forever.

Everyone knows and loves the cute vintage sock monkey with it’s playful yet sophisticated colors this theme can give a warm retro feel and is so inviting for children while being euphoric for adults just as a photo booth rental is at events. The sock monkey enables you to have a snazzy theme and doesn’t limit you to any specific color choices in décor.

You have all got to see this Alligator Bayou Bash from Karas Party Ideas. What a unique idea and the little frog fondant toppers on the cheesecake are just too cute! Can you imagine the kids bouncing off of the tables after eating a few of those! So fun! Head on over to see all of the pictures from this one of a kind Bayou Bash.
With your venue solidified and your theme in place now it is time to schedule your photo booth rental and hire on a good photographer that is experienced with children. Make sure to be clear with what shots are the most important to you for them to capture. You don’t need to be stuck behind the camera the entire party, you need to be in on the fun and inside the photo booth posing for pictures with your baby and some fun photo props!
Time for the menu! If you are having the food catered be sure there are no peanuts in case any guests have an allergy, or have them specify on the rsvp’s so there will be no worries. A 1st birthday is a great time for a luncheon party. You will want to limit the time of the event to 2 hours or under since a one year old is pretty unpredictable and won’t typically withstand being social for more than 2 hours. Some simple sandwiches, salads, bite sized cakes or other treats are sufficient. Be sure to avoid any choking hazards and have some baby friendly options available.
Happy planning and Happy 1st Birthday to you and your little ones!
